CTAP 11
Los Angeles County Office of Education would like to announce a collaborative effort with LAUSD in hosting CTAP Technology Academies for the 2007-2008 Academic Year at locations across the district. Both Level 1 Personal Proficiency and Level 2 Technology Integration Academies are being offered. We will have a Level II Academy at the Local District 4 office during the week of December 17.
Participants will receive free registration, course materials, a flash drive and $400.00 compensation upon completion of the five-day Academy. The Academies are now available for online registration. The web site for registration is http://ito.lacoe.edu/workshops/workshops_display.pl Please visit this link for specific locations and dates. Both Level 1 and Level 2 Academies are available to accommodate teachers working on different track schedules throughout LAUSD.
Please remember that LAUSD teachers must be off-track/on vacation to attend the Academy. There is no funding available for substitute pay for this training. It is suggested that teachers review their EdTech Profile to determine which academy is right for them to enroll in. http://www.edtechprofile.org

InfoTech 2008 Saturday, April 12, 2008 LA Convention Center
InfoTech was originally scheduled for June. Due to a scheduling conflict, it has been moved to April. This year’s theme is “Excellence Through Innovation.” We will be partnering up with the Parent Collaborative Conference at the LA Convention Center. Last years event was a big success and we look forward to having another great event. Start planning and get those projects going. I know you are doing lots of great things in your class using technology. Info Tech is your opportunity to show off and network with other students, teachers, and administrators from all 8 Local Districts. I look forward to seeing you at InfoTech this year.
