We will resume our meetings on May 15, 2008. Our meeting will consist of a hands on SmartBoard workshop. Many of you were not able to attend the previous SmartBoard workshop because you were on Spring Break so I am scheduling this session to accommodate those who missed it. If you have staff members that would like to attend, they are welcome to come. We will meet at Local District 4 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Hope to see you then.

It’s finally here!!
Tomorrow is our annual InfoTech Conference. Schools from across LAUSD will be showcasing student work. You will be able to see student created projects from almost all grade levels. I can’t wait to see what our schools are doing. In addition, we will be looking at this years student competion projects and award the winning schools with some great prizes. It’s alway nice to see the students’ enthusiasm as they present their projects to hundreds of visitors.
If you’ve never attended InfoTech before, now is your chance. Don’t miss this great opportunity to see what other schools are doing. Come and get inspired by our own LAUSD students as they proudly showcase their projects. And while your here, you can also take part in some professional development yourself in any of our Tech Workshops.
By the way, did I mention that this event is completely free? That’s right! FREE!!! You don’t have to pay for anything, not even parking. So there is no excuse for missing this even. I hope to see you there.

Local District 4 will be hosting a 5 day Technology Academy for teachers who will be off-track during the week of May 19. If you are on C or D Track, you are eligible. The focus for the academy will be on integrating technology with your curriculum.
