Free Images

Posted at 2:09 pm under Resources, Technology

Openphoto is an alternative to Flickr photo.  When Flickr was blocked in our school district, we lost a great resource for free photographs.  By free I mean that they are not copyright protected and can be used freely by all.  This is great for educators that use images to enhance their lessons or have students creating projects.  Thanks to my colleague Janice, LD 6 ITAF, who shared this resource on Twitter, we now have another great source.

Openphoto allows you to create a wiki for your pictures, get embed codes for your website or blog, browse for pictures through their search engine, by catagories or by tags.  Check it out.  No need to register, but you will need an account if you want to upload your own images and have access to edit wikis.
