This document gives you ideas for sentence starters by age level. There are 5 levels to this pyramid beginning with basic sentences ending with periods to more complex sentences using various punctuation marks. This chart is based on Ros Wilson’s work from the Andrell Education Ltd on Raising Standards in Education.
